Come and join one of our taster sessions after school:
KS1 – Friday 27th November 2.30-3.30 – School Library, next to Uranus Class
KS2 – Friday 4th December 2.30-3.30 - School Library, next to Uranus Class
If you have children in both key phases, you are welcome to come to either session.
Look out for a parent letter, and sign up with Mrs Rose in the office.

Early Academic Review Day
Fri 16 Oct 2015The Autumn Term Academic Review Day has been set for
Friday 16th October 2015.
On this day you will be invited to meet with your child's teachers to find out about their development and wellbeing, both personally and academically.
Please note that the school is closed for children as the staff are all busy having these valuable one-to-one meetings. Children are asked to attend the meetings with you.
Letters will be sent home in the coming weeks so that we can arrange a time that is convenient for you and our teachers.

Applying for a Reception place 2016
Wed 14 Oct 2015Every year we offer 60 reception places, this year we may be able to take an additional 30 places as there is a significant lack of school places in Lewisham.
If you are interested in joining our wonderful school we would love to show you around our learning spaces and answer your questions.
Our open mornings are on WEDNESDAY 11th NOVEMBER at 0930 and 1100am and WEDNESDAY 25th NOVEMBER at 0930 and 1100am.

International Day
Fri 02 Oct 2015On Friday 2nd October we held an International Day in school. Each class learnt about a different country from around the world, linked to the Rugby World Cup.
To celebrate the Rugby World Cup, children also enjoyed a rugby lesson from several professional coaches and had the opportunity to learn the Haka dance!
Children contributed 50p to dress in traditional clothes from another country or wear red, white and blue. They could also wear football tops from international countries if they wished. All money raised was donated to Save the Children. We collected £197 for the charity and EVERYONE had a fabulous day!

Athelney's BIG DAY OUT
Tue 14 Jul 2015A fabulous time was had by all during our fun day out at Westbrook Bay Seaside resort in Kent. It truly was a typical British 'away day'; we had sand in our toes, sandwiches on the beach, seagulls swooping, splashing in the sea and sticky ice cream moustaches... It was wonderful!
We hope that you have as much fun reminiscing about the day by looking through our photographs in the gallery as we did whilst we were there.

We have created the website to keep parents up to date with school news and notices, and to showcase some of the great things our pupils are achieving.
