Maths Starter Task-answers included

Maths - This is your main lesson in two different formats. Choose PowerPoint Format for an interactive lesson (remember to select full screen at the beginning).

Independent tasks (answers included). Miss Owen's group to complete the 1-star task. Mrs Pema's group to complete the 2-star task. Ms Adeyemi and Miss Gibbs' group to complete the 3-star task.

Maths Extension Task - answers included

Choose a text according to your ability (Year 3 or Year 6). Read the text and answer the questions.

  • Literacy - Task 1 In this lesson, we will learn about the PALLP and features of a letter. We will also practise finding the features in an example. In this unit, we will be discussing issues of racism and discrimination in Britain. For some people this will be be a sensitive topic. If that applies to you, you may want to do the rest of this lesson with a trusted adult nearby who can support.
  • Literacy - Task 2 n this lesson, we will explore the rules associated with adding the suffixes -le, -el, -al and -il. 10 spelling words will be explained and set to learn.
  • Science - How can we see objects? Have you ever wondered how our eyes are able to see things? In this lesson, we will be learning how our eyes are able to see different objects. We will find out how light travels from a light source to our eyes and what happens when it reaches the eye. You will need a piece of paper and a pencil.
