  • Sport Relief

    Mon 12 Mar 2018

19th – 23rd of March is Sports Relief Week. As a school, we are delighted to take part in this nationwide event in which we will be raising money for others in need. Every year, a number of charities benefit from this event and this year we want to continue to show our support.

To raise money for these charities, we will take part in a number of activities across the week.

‘Mile’ Monday - children will be encouraged to ‘run a mile’ during morning playtime.

Skip it’ Tuesday – children will be skipping during morning play.

‘RED’ Wednesday – paint your child red (figuratively speaking). There will be prizes for the child wearing the most red items in each class. Children to pay £1, which will be donated to charity.

Hula’ Thursday – children will be hula hooping during morning play.

‘Funky’ Friday – dance all through your play!

In addition to the above events, we will be having a cake sale on Wednesday 21st March – please donate or – even better – bake your own sports themed cake or cupcakes. Please ensure that these do not contain nuts for health and safety reasons. Donations should be handed in to class teachers or the office by Wednesday (21st) morning.
