  • Literacy - Task 1: explore non-finite subordinate clauses. In this unit, we will develop our knowledge of non finite subordinate clauses. We will then practise writing some complex sentences which can be used in our letter writing. In this unit, we will be discussing issues of racism and discrimination in Britain. For some people this will be be a sensitive topic. If that applies to you, you may want to do the rest of this lesson with a trusted adult nearby who can support.
  • Literacy - Task 2:further build knowledge of the historical context of the unit. In this lesson, we will further develop our historical knowledge by learning about what life was like for the West-Indian immigrants after they arrived in Britain in 1948. In this unit, we will be discussing issues of racism and discrimination in Britain. For some people this will be be a sensitive topic. If that applies to you, you may want to do this lesson with a trusted adult nearby who can support you.
  • Computing: What makes a good website? In this lesson, students will explore and review existing websites and evaluate their content. They will have some understanding that websites are created using HTML code.
  • RE: What is life like inside a Buddhist monastery? In this lesson, we will be learning about buddhist monks and nuns. We will learn about the different schools of Buddhism and the journey that Buddhist lay people take to become a ‘full monk’. We will learn about daily life in a monastic community and we will compare life in a monastery to our own daily life. You will need a piece of paper, a pencil and your brain.
