Agent Lewis won the Weekly Athelney Champion Award by earning the most Class Dojo points. We had a Green Card day. Well done! The class settled into their new headquarters and wrote a list of rules. On Friday, our lessons were interrupted by the threat of an alien invasion and we needed to save the planet with pictures of our favourite places.

Week 2

Agent Elsie won the Weekly Athelney Champion Award by earning the most Class Dojo points. We had two Green Card days. Well done! We created pop-up Thank You cards for the special people in our lives and rewrote the lyrics of Wonderful World to show our appreciation.

Agent Laura won the Weekly Athelney Champion Award by earning the most Class Dojo points. We had three Green Card days. Well done! Week 4

Agent Aicha won the Weekly Athelney Champion Award by earning the most Class Dojo points. We started our new book "Into the Forest" and created amazing poetry about a thunderstorm. The agents were making excellent use of their vocabulary books to write down the meaning of tricky or new words. In Geography, we have been learning about the cities of the UK.

Week 5

Agent Hafsa won the Weekly Athelney Champion Award by earning the most Class Dojo points. There was a very good turn-out for Reading Journals (reading is the single biggest way to learn and get more mature). Agents wrote their own versions of "Into the Forest" and showed a sneaky preview to parents in the playground. We also learned about the rivers of the UK and learnt to draw realistic looking trees.

Week 6

Agent Matthew won the Weekly Athelney Champion Award by earning the most Class Dojo points. We had one green card day. The class has adopted marbles as a way of earning rewards for collaboration and has already earned a lot for Lining Up after lunch. It was the most successful spelling week so far with lots of agents achieving their targets. In Literacy the class explored a funfair and wrote amazing poetry about it.

Week 7

Agent Allel won the Weekly Athelney Champion Award by earning the most Class Dojo points. We had a green card day. Lining Up after lunch continued to earn a lot of marbles. In Literacy we were learning about Extended Noun Phrases (aka ENPs) and adverbial phrases. We used them to describe the actions of an incredible juggler called Bernard Hazen. We've started painting self-portraits for the Athelney Autumn Art Challenge. The class gave Seyi a special agent ceremony to remind her why she is valued.

Week 8

Agent Neriah won the Weekly Athelney Champion Award by earning the most Class Dojo points. The half term ended with writing a story about a rabbit who got lost during a magic trick, learning a dance for The Greatest Show and finally a circus themed party (because they earned 30 marbles for teamwork and excellent lessons). Lots of children got 10/10 in their CLIC and SAFE tests and we raised money for Great Ormond Street Hospital. The class gave Jennifer a special agent ceremony to remind her why she is valued.

Week 9

Agent Harley won the Weekly Athelney Champion Award by earning the most Class Dojo points. We had a week of five green card days and earned the first golden star. We started our new topic about the Romans and learnt about the volcanic disaster in Pompeii. The class gave Motunrayo a special agent ceremony to remind her why she is valued.

Week 10

Agent Tyanna-Monae won the Weekly Athelney Champion Award by earning the most Class Dojo points. Almost everyone completed their reading journals. We collaborated with other Year 4 classes to deliver an azoombly about our learning in Autumn Term - the agents made a film, a rap video and a quiz show. The class gave Kaylan a special agent ceremony to remind him why he is valued.
