Success for today; prepared for tomorrow. Nothing is beyond our reach.

Pluto Class

Welcome to Pluto Class!

Pluto class is one of our Year One classes, they are taught by Miss Adogla-Ben.

Children in Pluto class will also be supported by Mrs Howell.

Spring 2:

PE will still be on a Friday morningALL children are required to participate in these sessions. If your child is unable to swim, please inform Miss Ben or Mrs Howell in the morning. Children should come dressed in their PE kit with their school uniform in their bags.

Swimming will be on a Thursday afternoon. Please ensure children bring their full kit.

Homework is sent on a Friday and is due back on the following Wednesday. We encourage parents to support children with their homework but to allow their children to complete the work independently. Extra homework can be given upon your request.

It is important to read with your children every night. We are making fantastic progress in our reading; this is down to the continuous support from parents/ carers in fostering the love of reading.

Our previous Science topic for the last spring term was animals and as a class we have thoroughly enjoyed learning about a variety of animals and their habitats. As part of our topic Pluto class were fortunate enough to visit Christmas Tree Farm and we were all able to feed and pet the animals.

Christmas Tree Farm Posters

Following our recent trip to the Christmas Tree Farm Pluto class have enjoyed working collaboratively to create posters to persuade people to visit the farm.
Pluto class recently visited the local church in order to gain further insight into the religious artefacts within the church. The children were extremely keen on asking questions and remained engaged when learning about various Christian celebrations conducted in the church. We were fortunate enough to be given a tour around the lovely church.
