Hi Mercury Class,

I hope that you are well. I miss your endearing laughter and intriguing questions! Being away from your daily routine and friends at school does take some time to get used to. However, I have no doubt that you will rise to the challenge because you have a ‘Growth Mindset’.

If you haven’t yet, create a timetable/schedule. Routines provide structure, which helps you to learn and take intellectual risks, keeps you focused and gives you control. Be sure to schedule in learning time, fun time/get active time, family time and self-care/me time. It might be a good idea to join Joe Wicks live workout sessions at 9 am Monday to Friday on You Tube.

As of today you can contact me at mercury@kafed.org.uk . Please email your questions and share photos of what you have been doing from the homework tasks set or any other new project that you are passionately working on (cooking, dancing, playing an instrument).

My first challenge is – the first five children to send photos of how they are learning at home will have their photos displayed on the class page for one week. Remember to keep checking  for new tasks and websites to learn from.

Now get stuck in, stay safe and stay at home!

Best Wishes

Mrs Coote
