Important Information

School gate opens at 8.40am

School starts at 8.45am

Lesson starts at 9.00am

School ends at 3.20pm - Monday to Thursday

School ends at 2.20pm on Fridays

Children are expected to come to school everyday, and be punctual, as attendance is key to attainment. 

PE day: Thursday

Please remember for PE children must wear:​

• Black, dark grey or navy shorts, joggers or leggings – Plain, no logos, coloured stripes​

• White or purple t-shirt plain no logos​

• Trainers any colour​

WEEK COMMENCING: 07/09/26

 Week 2

Music: Drumming is back! This week, we will be learning how to drum as part of our music lessons. We will develop our rhythm, coordination and ability to perform together.

Maths: We will recap the column addition method, solve word problems using addition calculations and explore calculations that requires regrouping.

English: We will be learning how to write to persuade, using The Tin Forest by Helen Ward and Wayne Anderson. The story is about an old man who lives in a gray, neglected place and dreams of transforming it into a beautiful forest. We will explore persuasive language and use contrasting conjunctions, such as although, however, but , whilst and while in our writing.

History: We will begin learning about Ancient Greece. We will locate Ancient Greek on a map and create a timeline of Ancient Greek civilisation and explore key events and developments.

WEEK COMMENCING: 31/08/26

Week 1

This week focused on settling into our new environment, getting to know adults, developing handwriting skills and reflecting on previous learning. The children have settled in well and demonstrated a positive attitude, determination and enthusiasm for learning and making progress.
