Welcome to Mars Class!

Our class is led by Miss Santiyani and assisted by Miss Parker.

In Mars class we use Class Dojo! If you have not set up a parent and student account, please do so! This website allows all of us to interact with one another (almost like a school version of social media) and Miss Santiyani posts important announcements on it. She will also be adding pictures and videos to keep everyone up to date with what we are doing in class.

A little bit about our routines:

Homework packets: Go out every Monday and are to be returned the following Monday. 

P.E is on Mondays and the students are required to bring a P.S kit for it. They also have Indoor gym on Tuesdays but only require comfortable shoes for this.

Swimming will not begin for our class until February, so no need to worry about that just yet!

This term we will be learning about some exciting things, including but not limited to:

Science: Rocks 

The Stone Age

Peace and Christmas (R.E for those who participate)

Maths: Division, Fractions, Multiplication, partitioning, 3 digit problems (and much much more!)

Literacy: Myths, Legends, Non-Fiction, Persuasive Writing, Spelling, Adjectives, Punctuation (and once again...much much more!)

Our class rewards include:

Black Card: Students go above and beyond what is expected of them daily and earn a black card for their behavior!

Table points: Students within their groups can earn points for their table. The table with the most points by the end of each week receive 'Golden Time' on Friday.

Silver Cards: Students can earn a silver card if they have been on a green card every single day until Friday lunch time. Those with a silver card can have a treat from our class treasure box. 

If the class receives 2,000 points (as a whole, using table points) by our Winter break, the class will be rewarded with a pizza/movie party!
