Literacy

We will be learning about the following genres of writing: Stories from other cultures ,Creating images (poetry) and Play scripts.
                                                          Mathematics

We will be securing our mathematical skills of: Calculating, measuring, Understanding shapes and securing number facts and relationships.

    Religious Education

 

 We will be learning about Judaism and why the symbols  have specific meanings.

 

PE

 We will be learning Invasion Games- Hockey and Football.

Indoor PE will be on a Thursday with the class teacher and Indoor PE with Mr Plummer on a Friday. It is part of the school's policy to wear the correct PE kit for each session -

• White T shirt
• Black jogging bottoms or shorts  
• Black plimsolls or trainers.

                                                                        Science and Computing

               We will be learning about States of Matter.

                 In computing we will be learning to edit and write HTML. The best way to use emails and writing emails.

 

Art

We will be exploring Print making using stencils.

We will be learning about food and drink.

Music

We will continue to learn the Ukulele. Look out for the letter inviting you to come in to watch the children perform what they have learnt this term.

PSHE

'Going for goals'

We will be providing children with opportunities to reflect on themselves as individuals. Particularly as learners and how they learn most effectively.

 

Home learning

Home work will be set every Friday and must be returned on Wednesday of the following week.

Remember: If you have time you can access your Active Learn account and your Mathletics account from home. This will help you  with their reading, spelling, grammar and maths. We also have a very interesting account called  purple mash, allow your child to access this account . It is mind blowing and very informative.  http://www.purplemash.com/athelney
