Trip to the Woods

We are delighted to start the year so positively! A big thank you all the parents for your continued support. This year Atlantis class has the welcomed the new addition of Elizabeth, Daniel and Elijah and the original children; James, Deshawn, Nicholas, Simon. A major success of this year is Tyla has now integrated full time in mainstream, well done Tyla!

The class is supported by a wonderful team who always continue to go above and beyond their jobs. The team has sadly seemed some sickness, so for now it is Mrs Madden, Ms Scales, Miss Mucci (teaching Monday and Tuesday) and Miss McCarthy (teaching Wednesday, Thursday, Friday). We have Miss Summers and Miss Burrowes covering who are a real asset to the team. Miss Crayden is also continuing to teach the children every other Tuesday afternoon and every other Thursday.

This year so far we have already visited the Woods with Discovery class. The children had a great time and enjoyed exploring the woods. We have also had the opportunity to join in Spanish lessons with Discovery every other Monday afternoon, and participate in PE lessons with the coach on Monday mornings.

Useful information:-

Swimming- Friday but will be changing back to Wednesday when Steve is back.

PE- Monday

Please ensure your children have their kits for both of these days.

Atlantis class have finished their topic "Me and my friends" which gave them the opportunity to explore ways to be a good friend. Our new topic this term is "the Magic of Toys". This will give the children an opportunity to learn about the history of toys and to visit toy museums and carry out structured play. They have already shared their favourite toys with each other.
